Psychologist Brisbane | Living in the Moment
Abiding In the Present Moment…M.Korduba: Psychologist Brisbane.
I’ve always been interested in learning more about living in the moment. This has been going on since I was in my mid teens.
I mused at the notion and the marketing of society’s sports stars. A menu of names of popular athletes most likely cross your mind which have the ability to accomplish this, as you take in this sentence.
When I see this, Tiger Woods is the athlete that jumps to mind. I am sure that even off the golf green he was able to live at that moment.
What got him into trouble maybe is this???
What is that?
Read here about the golfer that won the US Open. ( by itself it is a huge feat ). His secret…What is that? He learned to switch it on and off between shots on the course. Appears fairly easy. How did he do this? What is that?
When you play a shooting game, you need to draw a small red dot on something, and focus your attention on the red dot for your aim. Over the Four days he did this for every shot on every hole. He had hired a coach to teach him how to hone his mental skills. Focusing in the moment is something a tennis player have to do between shots. Different sports can be more competitive and intense. (for example, the game of football) These games last an hour or more, and players are constantly subbed out.
This fable can apply to anyones life, and teach them to live in the moment. What do I mean by this???
All kinds of thoughts – good, bad, happy and sad – occupy our minds. Each thought contains an equal value to a different one. This is just what they involve….ideas. The way to deal with this is by not allowing your self to get hooked in. To see and acknowledge them and giggle and then they will float through your brain and another will come to mind. Now you can see the power of our thoughts and emotions. These will only be around for approximately five seconds before being replaced with other random ones.
Just like a professional golfer, you will be able to switch it on or off. When you switch off, don’t think you can go play around on social media or engage in destructive thoughts. It entails shutting your brain off and doing nothing. And then when you complete the task you have to tune your mind back in First: It will even boost your energy levels. two You’ll know what the focus has to be about.
This is what causes psychological problems (e.g. anger, anxiety, depression), separated sports stars from the masses, and defines the concept of being “in the moment.” Not living with the moment
